"You can thank Sandy" A friend got a marketing E-mail for some webinar saying that due to an overwhelming demand from people affected by Hurricane Sandy the discount registration period was being extended. The E-mail opened with large, bold type "You can thank Sandy." Shortly thereafter, he received another E-mail from that company apologizing for the insensitive tone of the first E-mail. E-mail #2 also added that appropriate steps were taken to make sure this would never happen again. I have to say that I didn't find the Sandy reference insensitive and I certainly hope that appropriate steps doesn't mean that someone lost a job. How do other people feel about this? Given that the current Noreaster is being referred to as Son of Sandy is anyone really offended?

See this is how we know we're going to hell. It gives future demons demon names.
Mine is Doaayel.

Ok I know I'm drunk as fuck but when exactly do I get driver's ed drunk goggles drunk? I put those on and I couldn't see shit when we had to pick up the pennies. I swear I could pick up the pennies if we did it now. Legitimately, the only things keeping me from being unintelligible are my OCD and my SwiftKey keyboard. I've spent $55 on alcohol. When do I start acting like I'm on something harder?
This is the reverse of getting a tattoo of the word chicken noodles in a different language
So I was in stats and there was a word problem where the teacher was the boss and liked to get wages out of a random number generator (bad idea) and some of the possible wages were obvious poverty wages ($1, $5 per hour) which we joked about. Over half the wages (taking up almost all the staff) were illegal. Next class was about giving them a raise. We could choose two options: up every wage by $10 per hour (removing the starvation wages) or double every wage (keeping $2 an hour a possibility). Apparently "you should pick the first option if you are in the lower half and pick the second one if you are in the upper half." wtf I don't want blood on my hands??? She said I was being "really nice" which is cool but it's not much to not want families to starve/go homeless???
