Hello everyone, I am opening up donation commissions! Specifically for these donation drawings the cause I want to focus on is the ongoing genocide and humanitarian crisis in Palestine. It is more important than ever to donate to help Palestinians as Israel's attacks only get worse by the hour. It may be easy to feel disconnected from something happening on the other side of the world, or that there’s nothing you can do to help. However, even just a small act of kindness can change someone's life. I know this small donation campaign won’t single handedly change the world, but I am hoping it can be that small act of kindness that someone needs right now.
So, how will this Donations for Drawings campaign work? It’s pretty simple, you donate to a cause that helps Palestinians and I will draw something for you! The more you donate, the better the drawing will be, but no donation is too small! This campaign will run for 2 weeks from 5/29 to 11:59pm PST on 6/12. Additionally the campaign won’t end until we reach the goal of at least $100 in donations (but we can go over the $100 goal in the 2 week timeline). I am accepting donations to family fundraisers, eSims, and donations to organizations/charities, however escape funds and eSims are a priority right now. If you need help figuring out where to donate, here are some options. This isn’t every fundraiser out there but it’s a good place to start.
Family Fundraisers (These are all vetted fundraisers): Gaza Funds (If you’re having trouble deciding on a family to donate to this site will automatically suggest a fundraiser when you open it) Operation Olive Branch Help Gaza Gaza Evacuation Relief Fund fundsforgaza | Instagram | Linktree
eSims: https://gazaesims.com/
Organizations/Charities: PCRF CareForGaza Supporting Displaced Families in Gaza https://piousprojects.org/campaign/2680 State of Palestine | World Food Programme Doctors Without Borders The National Emergency Appeal: Medical Aid for Palestinians Crips for eSims for Gaza | Chuffed | Non-profit charity and social enterprise fundraising (if you can’t donate an eSim yourself you can donate here)
Once you donate you need to send proof of your donation to me. This can be done through a direct message or this google form https://forms.gle/bUzTb4bgCefc3Wec8. Proof of donation should include a timestamp, what type of donation you made, and how much you donated. Please remove or blackout any personal identification or banking information. Also, specifically for eSim donations you must also show that you forwarded the eSim to gazaesims@gmail.com. I am only accepting donations made during 5/29 or later.
For the drawings themselves, I am up for drawing anything (though I’m best at drawing dragons), Oc’s or Canon characters, just nothing that is NSFW, gore, or has hateful imagery. In your message please include a link to the character's profile (like a toyhouse page or wiki for canon characters) and/or include a reference image. The more you donate the better the drawing will be! Images of Palestinian solidarity can also be included in the drawing for free if you’d like, just specify that in your message. Additionally, these drawings will likely be posted to promote this donation campaign as well as donating to Palestinian causes in general. I can either tag you in these uploads or you can remain anonymous if you wish.
Thank you for reading all of the info for the donation commission! If you have any questions feel free to ask.
Additionally, if you want to help Palestinians but unfortunately can’t donate, there are still so many ways you can help! You can participate in boycotts https://bdsmovement.net/get-involved/what-to-boycott, do your daily click https://arab.org/click-to-help/palestine/, call and email your representatives to demand a ceasefire, and keep yourself educated by listening to Palestinian voices and learning from resources like https://decolonizepalestine.com/.
Read Iman's full message on our GFM page by clicking the link in the usual place. Please share widely and keep talking about humanity.
🍉🍉🍉👈👈Don't look away. Deep in pain. Feel your connection to the world. Feel our bond. Safe in the abundance of love. Join the people.
TEXT:🇵🇸
The crashing waves. The sunsets melting into the salt water. They are my friends who help me connect with the world.
I comb the waves with my hands and think of Iman who said to me, “I was preparing for the worst.”
On the other side of this sea, Iman prepares meals for her two children with whatever she can scrape together.
“We have lost all our livelihoods because of this war, and we are still clinging to life.”
I cling. I cling to the word.
There, little Amir rocks his baby sister to sleep. He knows a hunger I have never experienced.
“We don’t know what tomorrow holds. We have lost everything beautiful and we are about to lose more.”
I refuse to lose you. There is a glimmer of hope.
Please share this story and join me in helping my friend’s beloved wife Iman and her family. Within each of us is a light that can transform a dim glimmer into a flowing stream of abundant hope.

Finishing my dissertation so I've been super busy, fundraiser is still going though! Some designs (for shirts, stickers, mugs, pins, etc):
As always EVERYTHING I EARN from my shop is for my best friend, a Palestinian grad student living in America. The money is sent home to support his friends and family in Palestine and around the rest of the Levant who are being hurt directly and/or financially by the attacks on Gaza, the raids and economic devastation in the West Bank (it's gotten extremely bad there) and the collateral damage in surrounding countries.
You can find all of my work in my shop HERE. You can filter by product with the menu on the left side of the page or go here to browse by design. Here's a couple examples of designs printed on products:
The model for the gym shirt in photo 3 is the friend I am raising money for (cropped for privacy).
This is not end to grad school we imagined. I'm so proud of my friend for how he's handling everything though. Still doing his activism in the face of all the government threats, and still doing incredible research despite all the setbacks. He's the strongest person I've ever known.
Thank you so much to everyone who has helped out! The support means a lot to us, we hope you are enjoying your purchases.

We're heartbroken but not surprised that the ceasefire has fallen apart. We'll keep getting what we raise to whoever we can still reach.

Here's another compilation of stickers/pins from my fundraiser:
As always EVERYTHING I EARN from my shop is for my best friend, a Palestinian grad student living in America. The money is sent home to support his friends and family in Gaza, in the West Bank and sometimes those elsewhere in the Levant caught up in the conflict (such as the many displaced people in Lebanon). Right now the situation is looking increasingly desperate in the West Bank, 40,000 people are already displaced and we're scared to see how far things are going to escalate. Thankfully most of his immediate family are safe for now.
You can find all of my work in my shop HERE. You can filter by product with the menu on the left side of the page or go here to browse by design. There are also shirts, mugs, notebooks and plenty of other products besides the ones shown here.
Thank you so much to everyone who has helped out! We really appreciate the support.
Three hours to go until the ceasefire. I'm with my Palestinian friend at his lab, we're just working and waiting. I'm incredibly proud of the strength and composure he's shown in the face of this genocide, he's the most amazing person. Let's hope the ceasefire lasts, and the West Bank gets a reprieve soon too. Here's a poster I'm liking right now, with a reminder to feel free to print and use my stuff for anything so long as you are not profiting from it:
I want to thank everyone who has supported my fundraising shop. We received so much support, it's been so heartwarming! I really hope we get to spot some of my shirts, pins, etc at protests and rallies in the future. Even if the ceasefire holds this is far from over, we need to keep the pressure on!
I will continue to run this shop for the foreseeable future, there's so much damage to recover from in Gaza and Lebanon and the raids and economic restrictions in the West Bank are showing no signs of stopping. I would like to help him support his family as long as I can, and if that ever becomes less necessary I'll switch the shop income over to a relevant charity of his choice. For now, here is a selection of some of my popular designs:

Recently this tatreez + keffiyeh design in my fundraiser has been selling well so I wanted to reshare it:

This design has been particularly popular on less common products recently, like phone cases. Here are some example products:
You can find the design here. The keffiyeh is an open source pattern, the tatreez I drew in FlossCross.

I haven't posted about how he's doing in a while so here is a brief update if anyone was wondering. He's been quite miserable (more than usual even) since the escalation into Lebanon, he has family there too, but he's hanging in there. They're safe for now and we really hope the ceasefire in a couple hours actually happens and lasts. He also got injured not long after the escalation which really messed up his usual coping mechanisms (running/going to the gym), but he's recovering well now and we're at least lifting weights again. Despite the stress he's still doing impressive things with his research, and working crazy hours at it. He's supervising and mentoring several younger students on top of his own work and doing an amazing job of keeping it together for them, I'm so proud of him. He's the strongest and nicest person I've ever met and I know he's going to do amazing things with his life.
Anyway, you can find all my art in my shop HERE. There are a lot of other product options besides pins as well (shirts, stickers, notebooks, bags, etc). This poem, If We Must Die by Claude McKay was written during the Red Summer, 1919. It has since been adopted to support many groups facing persecution, such as the Palestinians. I paired it with a field of poppies and a faint keffiyeh pattern. I made this one last December and haven't shared it in a while so I thought I'd do so again now. You can find it here.

Below you can see some of my other designs. I try to incorporate a wide variety of styles so there's something for everyone, making use of various open source assets such as vintage prints and NASA photography. Happy election day everyone, the date just made me realize I've been running this fundraiser for a little over a year now. Rather depressing, but I am very grateful for all the support you have given my best friend through this awful time.
I decided to make a new version of this text design for my fundraiser since I think the Arabic letters, being thinner and more stylized, were not standing out as much in green. Like the older one, this was mostly made as a sticker design. You can find it here. Here are demos of this and my two older interwoven English/Arabic designs on stickers:

Also I'm not going to tell you all how to vote but I do hope all eligible Americans do plan on voting today even if you can't stomach voting for a mainstream candidate. A protest vote is a lot stronger statement than staying home, since something like 30-50% of the eligible population tends to not vote in this country anyway. Realistically not voting is likely to be analyzed as routine apathy rather than a statement. A third party vote shows you are a participating voter who can be courted in future elections. So whatever way you choose to vote please do it!
Thank you so much to everyone who has helped out! We really appreciate the support.
Another compilation of my fundraiser stickers (the money I raise supports my best friend):
As always EVERYTHING I EARN is for my best friend, a Palestinian grad student living in America. The money is sent home to support his friends and family in Palestine and around the rest of the Levant who are being hurt directly and/or financially by the attacks on Gaza, the raids and economic devastation in the West Bank and the collateral damage in surrounding countries.
You can find these in my shop HERE. To see a design on different products click on the display product and scroll down or go here to browse by design. There are a lot of other products besides stickers, such as shirts, pins, notebooks and mugs.

Thank you so much to everyone who has helped out! My friend is so touched by all the support strangers on here have shown, even in the early days when it felt like most of the US was against him. We hope you are enjoying your purchases!
I added to my fundraiser a couple versions of my glitch art design with a white border, to look better on dark clothes. Here are some product examples (also shown are older versions of this design in my shop with black or no border that are better for light colored clothing, stickers, etc.)

Here's an older design from my fundraising shop and some history behind it (EVERYTHING I RAISE supports my best friend and his loved ones):
The Jaffa orange holds a lot of symbolism for the Palestinian struggle. This varietal of the fruit was developed in the 19th century and named for the city Jaffa, where it was first produced for export. It was a major export of the region until the industry declined under British rule and disruption from WWII. Finally the establishment of Israel caused irreparable damage as groves were seized or destroyed by settlers. Israel took over production on the seized land but never achieved the same success with the crop, and what remained of Palestine suffered ongoing violence and blockades preventing the industry from further success. The Jaffa orange has since remained a symbol of the Palestinian homeland, most famously in Ghassan Kanafani's short story The Land of Sad Oranges.
My design, an orange (from a vintage painting) with a Palestinian flag print on the leaf can be found here on shirts, stickers, mugs and more. This is one of my older works, from last November. I hope you all have found your local protest to join Monday (10/7), we're coming up on a year of active genocide. I'd really like to thank everyone who has helped me support my best friend through this fundraiser. He feels really weird accepting help from anyone but as grad students we get paid like shit so the extra money for his family is extremely useful. I was worried (still am honestly given the escalation recently) that he was going to have to delay his PhD to work more hours to support them (he's had to do so before unfortunately, he's had to overcome so many challenges coming from a family of refugees). The kindness shown by complete strangers has been heartwarming. Things are looking very bleak right now but it is some comfort to know how many people out there are fighting for this cause alongside him. When things started up a year ago he felt so alone, the shift in public sentiment has been great to see.
These are some of the best selling designs from the fundraiser so far:
Here are a few sample products with these designs:

A new sticker and pin for the fundraiser, featuring the Palestinian and Lebanese flags:
I think the sticker in size large would make a good size/shape for a bumper sticker. Also available on various other products, you can find them all here.
