i wish i lived in a world where being low energy, lacking enthusiasm and being nonchalant was accepted in society and it was the norm to assume that it’s nothing personal when that attitude is being presented to you. i hate that i have to overextend myself in my job or in social situations to comfort others when it doesn’t have to be that way.
taspdfw you had conduct disorder as a kid and you were physically punished, emotionally punished, grounded, etc but nothing clicked and you just kept doing the same shit. and your parents wonder why you want nothing to do with them.
:)
Friendly (or unfriendly if you're against this) reminder that this blog is supportive of ALL disorders. This blog does not think ANY disorder inherently makes someone a bad person, and is against any disorder being demonized. This blog wholeheartedly believes that a bad person having a disorder, yes, even if things that are also symptoms of their disorder are part of what caused harm, does not make the disorder a "bad" or "evil" disorder or excuse ableism and demonization directed towards the disorder.
Yes this includes personality disorders
Including npd and aspd
Yes this includes all psychotic disorders & disorders that cause psychotic symptoms
Yes this includes paraphilic disorders. All of them.
Yes this includes disorders that cause, or are even characterized by, attention seeking
Yes this includes disorders that directly have lying as a common symptom
Yes this includes dissociative disorders
Yes this includes any disorder with "gross" symptoms
Yes this includes physical disorders too
Yes this includes disorders that can cause loss of control of any kind- control of speech, control of body movement, etc.
Yes tis includes disorders that make someone "look scary"
This goes for literally any fucking disorder. There are not exceptions.
People with Cluster B Disorders. I am sorry about the world. People with Psychotic Disorders. I am sorry about the world. People with OCD. I am sorry about the world.
So many people say they're allies, sometimes even specifically to you, but oftentimes they're lying. They refuse to accommodate on even the most basic level and then treat you like a monster. It's fucked up. It's not your fault. You are not uniquely evil or fucked up. They're just Ableist, and you're just naturally struggling in a world that makes itself completely hostile to you.
I know online PD quizzies ain’t shit. But some of the questions for this test are fucking weird. Like what does being interested in art for a magazine cover have anything to do with personality disorders? Lmao
messages for those with NPD, BPD, ASPD, or HPD
you are loved, valued, and important.
the people in your life care about you, even if sometimes it doesn't feel that way.
i'm glad you're here today.
your needs matter. your feelings matter. your limits matter.
There’s no better comedy than posting this on TikTok:
Then getting a rude paragraph by a random that basically boils down to: you do that because you think therapy is beneath you.
Uh no. I just admit that my mental illness isn’t a superpower. It’s a terrible thing and I wish it never was there.
The random deleted the paragraph a minute later. I’m guessing they realized how stupid they sounded.
Anyway song of the day:
“empaths” are THE stupidest fucks on the planet. not to mention the ableism lol
It's very common for people to push those with demonised personality disorders to the end of their tether via manipulation, bullying, abuse, etc. and then get upset with them when they inevitably snap.
It happens a lot within the neurodivergent community, too! People spread lies about us, do things that purposely upset/trigger us and then when we start to get upset/stand up for ourselves/etc. it's "sEE??? we were right about them all along!!!!"
[Large text: "Want to be part of a group blog on how to write neurodivergent characters?"]
I've found Tumblr blogs on writing physically disabled and POC characters, but nothing specifically for neurodivergence.
Maybe there is something I just haven't found yet, but even if so, I think the most resources the better.
So, hi! I'm Amethyst — amateur writer and neurodivergent, and now looking for people to help me out with this project.
I could try this on my own, but I would rather have other neurodivergents with me (especially with different conditions from mine)
Does anyone want to help me make a change?
