Class of 2013 dune animatic

So, watched Dune a few days ago and didn't understand too much till I did my research. I liked it, the language is kinda difficult, yet intriguing.

You can imagine I already watched Dune 2.

I was meant to, with a friend of mine, that bought tickets for both of us to see it.

The thing here is that I was working and had a couple of things to do before watching the movie, and I had just 20 minutes.

Didn't make It.

Let's just say I'm happy and sad, cause i'm still not conected with the story of Dune at the point i'm eager. But i'll get to watch it soon I suppose.

The desert punk is interesting, and even if the "chosen one" trope is cheesy, it's understandable. I still don't get why Paul is the one Muab'dib (think is written like that) and by who was he chosen and what does he has to do, but I like the story.

I need everyone to understand about the fremen.

They do not cry. Ever.

To give water to the dead is the most sacred honor that anyone could give but they rarely and never do that because it's ingrained in them to not waste water from birth. A single tear could mean life and death for them. To give water to the living? Unheard of.

Paul crying over killing Jamis in the book was a moment that astonished the fremen around him. Jessica ponders their reactions and knows that this is a holy moment.

Jessica then forcing Chani to cry for Paul(this was not in the book btw but I love it) is the ultimate betrayal of her autonomy. To force her to give what is essentially a piece of her life to him without her consent is sacrilegious and she knows it.

Water of Life indeed.

Being Paul's sister he always had your back no matter what, he loved you so much he'd do anything to see you happy. When you found out about chani being in Paul's life he set you up with chani on purpose. Being a god to the fremen he wanted to focus more on keeping everyone safe then to fall in love and be blinded. During the match between him and feyd you stepped in and put feyd in a choke hold before whispering "you belong to the dunes of arrakis now" slicing his throat in one clean motion. The royal family knew it was against the rules to interfere with fair trialed fights but they respected your honor to protect your brother. Chani fell in love with you weeks after and you began protecting the spices yet again.

You have had a crush on chani for years now but of course can't talk about it openly and you pledged that you'd get eaten by a sandworm before confession. You saw her with Paul and assumed that was there fate to be together. But when they didn't work out she seeked you out for comfort. "y/n, I don't know what to do. I mean I love him but I don't think I'm in love with him." She said softly. She looked to you with her crystal blue eyes. Like ocean diamonds they shined and bored into yours. "chani i-". She pressed her lips softly against yours and all you could hear was the beating of her heart in your ears. She pulled away slowly and smiled. "I knew you loved me. " "H...how did you know"? You asked curiously blushing like an idiot. She spoke in her mother tongue smirking softly. And the rest of the night turned into the love making of a spiritual lifetime.

imagine chani looking at you from afar. She doesn't know you but you've caught her eye. As majestic as you are you may pose a threat but you're the innocent one of the arrakis bunch. Chani feels a deep connection towards you spiritually, she doesn't want anyone else claiming you so from that moment of spotting you she is now determined to make you hers.

Felt cute might fall back into my geek era, and might reread every dune book and every LOTR book. If my blog turns into a wave of random sci-fi and fantasy obsession, don't mind me, this is my most primal era. Some people kill, I get mysterious and obsessive and base my personality on having actually read good books and not coho.
