A Prompt for 1.
Void and Eliza talking to each other when they heard nightcore music. " Oh No, not again! Eliza quick! Check every nook and cranny especially the Inventing Room for Willy it's an emergency go go GO!"
10 minutes later~
Eliza was searching between the seams of the machines when she hears Void called out. She answered. " I have good news and bad news" "What's the good news Prof!?" Eliza asked. " Good news, I found William!" Void answers. "Bad news?" " Uhhh.." Void drags Willy from his shoulders, his figure slump and pale "Sugar crash I think"
Eliza facepalms, sighing towards her boss. " Let's bring him to his room before he has his retaliation again" the professor chimes.
The rusty cogs in my stinky brain produced some stuff I'd like to share with you.
1. I feel like Wonka would lowkey enjoy nightcore music. He wouldn't love it or listen to it that much, but he wouldn't hate it either.
2. The Oompa loompas like to do cocoa rituals right? So I imagine Wonka let them have a part of the factory for that, 'cause it's their religion and I think they'd like to keep practising it. Now imagine poor Charlie accidentally stumbling upon one of these rituals. And rituals, no matter how light hearted, are kinda scary, ngl. Poor boy...
1. Omg yes! Wonka really just loves music in general, his favorite being psychedelic pop from the 60s and 70s. It really helps him to have music playing in the background while he is working, and we know the Oompa-Loompas are big into singing and dancing as well, so there's almost always something blasting over the factory's PA system.
The more caffeinated and manic he is, the faster the tempo of whatever is playing. When the nightcore comes on, you know he is in a chaotic state. Either something is about to blow up, or he is on the verge of an extreme sugar crash. I think this video illustrates it pretty well.
2. Yeah, the one short scene we got of that bonfire ceremony in Loompaland looked a little intense, but really fun as well! Wonka makes it very clear throughout the movie that he deeply respects the Oompa-Loompas and their culture. When the group is flying around the factory in the elevator, you can even briefly see that there are little houses built high up toward the ceiling, just like their old fortresses on their island.
So yeah, I think they pretty much go on with their normal way of life, only now they don't have to worry about natural predators, and they have jobs in the factory (not to mention, all the cocoa beans they could ever ask for!). They get paid time off on all holidays, both theirs and Wonka's.
Wonka is not religious, but he does join in all their secular festivities. And once Charlie enters the picture, he slowly starts joining as well. I think a lot of his fear comes from being shy. The Oompa-Loompas are definitely a very tight-knit community, and Charlie has to overcome his social anxiety before he can really feel like he fits in, bless him. But they'll get there!

Umm AU idea where Gene Wilder’s Willy Wonka and Johnny Depp’s Willy Wonka exist in the same universe as business partners or smthn and the company is called Willy & Wonka because one of them is named Willy and the other’s name is Wonka but they’d have different last names/first names like it’d be Willy Winchester and Weston Wonka I dunno.
Weston would probably be Gene’s version and be all happy and cheery and loves kids and everything and loves to inspire etc. is super friendly and enthusiastic but Willy AKA Johnny’s version is super distant and nervous and snobby and still has his whole Tragic Backstory™ and is like ew no don’t touch me or my candy with your sticky fingers you tiny demon.
And when the kids tour the factory and Weston’s like welcome kids! Willy just mutters something like I hope one of you drown in the chocolate river and then WeSTON JUST ELBOWS HIM REALLY HARD AND LAUGHS NERVOUSLY LIKE HAHA IGNORE HIM HE DOESN’T GET OUT MUCH.

The streets of the city were quiet at this hour, save for the distant sounds of late-night travelers and the occasional splash of rain against the cobblestone roads. The glow of lamplight flickered against the damp pavement, casting golden reflections that made everything feel just a bit more magical—at least, that’s how it felt whenever he was with you.
Wrapped in a slightly tattered coat and clutching a small paper bag, Willy hurried down the alleyway, his breath clouding in the cool night air. He glanced over his shoulder, making sure he hadn’t been followed. Mrs. Scrubbit had already caught him sneaking out once before, and he couldn’t afford to be locked in the attic again. But seeing you—just for a little while—was worth any risk.
When he finally reached the side street where you always met, he saw you waiting on the worn steps of your small flat, arms tucked around yourself for warmth. The sight made his heart do that funny little leap it always did whenever you were near.
“Miss me?” Willy called softly as he stepped into the light.
You turned, your face lighting up at the sight of him. “You’re going to get yourself in trouble sneaking out like this.”
“Ah, but what’s life without a little danger?” he teased, plopping down beside you.
You shook your head with a fond smile. “One day, she’s going to catch you.”
“She’d have to be quicker than me.” He tapped his temple. “And I’m very fast when properly motivated.”
You huffed a laugh, nudging him with your shoulder. “And what motivates you, exactly?”
“Well…” He grinned, reaching into the paper bag. “Chocolate, mostly.” He pulled out a small, neatly wrapped piece and handed it to you.
You raised an eyebrow. “Willy, that’s—”
“My last piece, I know,” he interrupted, waving a hand dismissively. “And I’m giving it to you, because—” He turned to you, eyes warm, voice softer now. “That’s love.”
You stared at him for a long moment, the teasing edge in your expression melting away. The words were spoken so easily as if it were the most natural thing in the world, and maybe to him, it was.
You took the chocolate from his hand carefully, as if it were something delicate, something precious. “You really are something else, Wonka,” you murmured.
“I like to think so.” He leaned in a little, resting his chin in his palm as he watched you with bright, expectant eyes. “Go on, try it! It’s a new batch. Made it myself, of course—top-tier craftsmanship, a hint of cinnamon, a whisper of nutmeg, and just the tiniest bit of longing.”
You laughed, shaking your head, but did as he asked. The moment the chocolate melted on your tongue, you sighed in contentment. “That’s incredible,” you admitted.
Willy beamed, rocking back on his heels. “I knew it! Love makes everything sweeter.”
“Or maybe you’re just that good,” you mused.
“Both!” he declared, pointing a finger in the air. “But mostly the first one.”
You rolled your eyes fondly, but then your smile softened. “Thank you, Willy.”
His expression turned a little sheepish as he scratched the back of his neck. “Well, I was planning on savoring it, but then I figured… I’d rather you have it.”
Warmth spread through your chest, and before you could second-guess yourself, you leaned in, pressing a soft kiss to his cheek. He froze for a second, then blinked at you, stunned.
“Goodnight, Willy,” you whispered, standing up before he could say anything else.
He remained seated, mouth slightly open, before breaking into the biggest, goofiest grin you’d ever seen. “Goodnight, dearest,” he called after you as you disappeared inside.
Still grinning, Willy touched his cheek where you kissed him, then got to his feet, adjusting his coat. He had to get back before Mrs. Scrubbit noticed his absence, but somehow, sneaking back through the laundry chute didn’t seem like such a hardship tonight.
After all, he had something even sweeter than chocolate to dream about.
