anyways i have been pondering about steven and wallace (as i always do) and i just need to speak about these two perfect trainers

i just replayed the omega ruby game and i must say steven is very strange. he seems cool, calm and collected. hes that character who even grunts will admire. yet, theres this sort of hidden panic inside of him at times, like when groudon apears, he loses, and the whole delta episode.

i think i am glad they didnt make steven so shallowly perfect, though hes so close to being so... oh yeah wallace is literally perfect because character development on wallace scares game freak

A Hoenn Champion Villian au fic test I suppose

Steven and Wallace except they lead the evil teams of the Hoenn reigon. Oh, and Wallace is frickin' dramatic

Wallace was alone. Well, not really, he had his pokemon alongside him in moderately sized indoor pool. Just maybe he also had his crew but simply not present in his "throne room" they call in the large submarine dubbed "home". In his eyes, though? Just a place to assist in Wallace's revenge.

He gritted his teeth and clenched his scarred fist at the thought of the one he once loved. All Wallace wanted was to love Steven and make a positive change to the world! BUT THEN STEVEN HAD TO GO AND-

Wallace furious thoughts were cut off by his pokemon's cheerful cries. There they were, all 6 of 'em, chasing Gyarados and Milotic's tails. The sepentine pokemon swiftly avoiding the grasps of the other pokemon. The seventh pokemon, Walrein watched and splashed any pokemon that came close, playfully, mind you. Wallace relaxed, revenge doesn't need to be instant.

3 pokemon jogged Wallace's memories just at the sight of them; his 2 Basculin, and his Sharpedo. The memory was clear and it brought a frown to his face. When Wallace found out the news of Steven's betrayal, 2 pokemon left Wallace. Luvdisc saw Wallace fake his own death and believed Steven actions were justified. IDIOTIC FISH. He HAD to kill- Nevermind THAT. Whiscash was weak, and fled to the depths due to Luvdisc's leave.

"Cowards. We'll show them." He scoffed. Wallace gazed at his team members. Basculin, Walrein, Milotic, Sharpedo, Swampert, and Gyarados may just be the only ones he can trust. And honestly? That's how he liked it.

watching old steven and wallace content on youtube because it just so happens that they are basically irrelevant right now

well i guess steven is one of the most popular characters in pokemon so i suppose he is still so somewhat relevant

Wallace is so fucked up about Stevens death, visions mid-day, nightmares, cold sudden feelings, like the touch of a dead body, and just emotion. He's glad Steven's around, but the shit he saw is damn well engraved in his mind.

This may very well be a stretch, and a spoiler to the end of hoenn pokespe, but so was the first so eh sorry if i spoiled it for anybody, but WHY is it that when Celebi bring our protagonists to a different universe, that Wallace is the only one injured? Maybe Wallace was brought with in a differnt way? One could assume that in said world they succeeded flawlessly without casualty, and only minor injury. But Wallace is way too hurt, with a broken arm, some eye area injury (?) and likely broken ribs. I know its a stretch but I like it.

Oh, very positive! Ah, as a child it was miserable knowing my parents just were too busy for me. So at first I'd hated Juan, as he was but a replacement to me.

But as time went on... I learned to open up to my mentor/guardian, appreciating that someone is there for me. Juan knew I was hurt, and allowed me to take time to heal, on my own schedule.

Now? Oh, he couldn't be prouder of me and Steven. She was so supportive of me becoming Champion too!

Also, Juan has interchangable pronouns if I confused you (He/Her/They/It)

Anywho, Me and it are on lovely terms, talking or staying in contact constantly! Them and Steven are some of my most trusted pupil.

wallace had constantly busy parents so instead he was forced to be raised by juan

wallace basically avoided juan, staying outside in sootopolis (sometimes in secluded places to cry about it) instead of training with his older sister and juan

until he met a silver haired boy with beldum practically glued to his side

the silver haired boy was a lot of like him with business dedicated parents too

the boy found wallace at one of his worst times and really helped him feel a lot better

they learned a lot about each other

Well to be obvious first, I love Steven.

We have always been fond of each other, really. Ever since we met when we both stated our goals and passions to each other.

I wished to Master the beauty contests, whilst Steven was generic like most, daring to become Champion.

Yet I reached my goal so quickly, so I decided to train my pokemon to be there for the Gym when Juan would step down. Steven was still getting sent to the pokemon center by Wattson! I followed him to cheer him on, and he then won every battle! (He has admitted that I am why he is Champion, which is sweet of him <3)

Long story short, he took me on vacation to Alola and proposed to me there! I love him!

My apoligies for rambling.

On a different note, he is a nutjob.

I think I have two issues with Torchic. One: Blazekin just doesn't have that elegance that I adore in pokemon. Two: Fire typing and Fighting typing. Can't say I like 'em.

Pokemon Gyms and whether my wheelchair user player character would be able to navigate them

Pewter City: Straight line on some cobblestones. Compared to the rest of this bullshit, this is luxury. Brock needs to come down off his staircase throne at the end of the corridor though.

Cerulean City: Yes. Mans can just scoot scoot around the edge of the pool. Misty has to come down to meet him though, she’s also on a staircase throne.

Vermilion City: Once he gets past the initial ‘what the fuck’ of the thunder barrier, as long as the bins are spaced out enough he’s fine. Doesn’t appreciate rummaging through trash though. At least mans isn’t on a staircase throne this time.

Celadon City: Depends entirely on how much tree is actually left after using cut.

Fuchsia City: He can make it through, but after about the third time of bumping into an invisible wall he’ll be real sick of this shit.

Saffron City: Runs entirely on little teleporters. Gucci.

Cinnabar Island: I never got to Blaine in LeafGreen but it looks like a straight shot.

Seafoam Island: Wouldn’t even be able to enter the gym in the first place. Can’t climb ladders.

Viridian City: Would probably develop motion sickness from all the spinning but I think he can navigate this one.

Violet City: I wouldn’t feel confident navigating the sharp turns 50 feet in the air walking, never mind trying to manoeuvre a chair through them. He can do it, but he won’t be at all comfortable.

Azalea Town: Stairs right at the entrance. Motherfucker.

Goldenrod City: Hard nope. Multiple steep staircases. Fuck you, Whitney

Ecruteak City: Morty, I love you, but the narrow walkway entirely in darkness over the void to hell isn’t exactly able bodied person friendly, never mind this-

Cianwood City: Another hard nope, those stairs look homophobic

Olivine City: Another straight walkway with an elevated leader. She’s definitely nice enough to meet him halfway too.

Mahogany Town: Ice gyms as a whole are bad. Not sure how well the chair will do on the ice (do you want to slip and skate or have traction?) and in Vernon’s case he is paralysed from the waist down so his lower body isn’t great at the whole temperature regulation thing. He’s definitely learning about winter’s harshness, thank you. Compared to the other ice gyms this one is pretty chill though.

Blackthorn City: The warning of unstable footing at the start is worrying, but the puzzle itself can be done.

Rustboro City: It’s all ramps until you get to the almighty stair throne, so okay. Also he’s absolutely stopping to look at the little museum.

Dewford Town: Give him enough room between all the exercise shit and we’re gucci

Mauville City: More of these random electric death walls? Eh whatever, the floor’s level at least. … NEVER MIND I FOUND MORE STAIRS

Lavaridge Town: What the fuck. Fuck you.

Petalburg City: Doesn’t seem to pose any problem, yay!

Fortree City: I don’t think he’s getting in, dear.

Mossdeep City: Y’know what? All this floating around is pretty cool, actually

Sootopolis City: WALLACE YOU MOTHERFUCKER WHY HAVE YOU DONE THIS

Oreburgh City: Ah yes. Vernon’s actual home region serving him an immediate slap in the face with steep ass stone stairs. Wonderful.

Eterna City: Ahh, so peaceful, so chill, such a vibe. Maybe there is hope after all.

Veilstone City: Goodbye hope, hello whatever the fuck I have to push and a lot of stairs before you even enter the gym itself-

Pastoria City: Besides this being the weirdest fucking swimming pool I’ve ever seen, it’s another fuck you to wheelchair users. Though Vernon can swim, so if there’s a clear path from the entrance to the leader via the water he can make it, he’s just going to have to fight the battle soaking wet, in a swimsuit and on the floor.

Hearthome City: As long as you can do maths, you’re alright.

Canalave City: He can navigate it but those super speed lifts are giving him motion sickness for sure.

Snowpoint City: He’s dead now. He fell down the stairs right into the massive piles of snow and suffocated.

Sunyshore City: It’s another hard nope, and I had high hopes when I saw the catwalks-

Striaton City: No problem no worries, Hakuna Matata.

Nacrene City: As long as someone can get the books down for him he’s good.

Castelia City: Pushing through the gooey shit will be annoying but it is possible as long as it doesn’t gunk up the wheels too bad.

Nimbasa City: It’s possible, but only if someone brings his wheelchair round to where he’s getting off the rollercoaster, or the chair can go on the coaster.

Driftveil City: Lifts and scaffolding? Okay. Random staircase right at the very bottom? Not okay.

Mistralton City: The cannons themselves are fully disability friendly. The stairs are not. So close.

Icirrus City: I’m giving this one a no. Even without the stairs, that jump, the fuck? We’re not all stunt ready actors, sir.

Opelucid City: The path is narrow and winding, but it has cool trick ramps and that’s a win in Vernon’s book! But also there’s stairs so 0/10

Aspertia City: Straight shot with a stair throne. Cheren you patronising cunt, get your ass down here.

Virbank City: Stairs right at the beginning. They’ll never hear him scream.

Humilau City: Getting on and off the lilypads looks like a pain, it might be easier to swim it again. Also it looks like you need a lot of momentum to move those pads.

Santalune City: He’s fucking dead again.

Cyllage City: Grant what the French fried fuck is this?

Shalour City: Yeah no this is impossible. Sorry, buddy.

Coumarine City: WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS. I can’t fucking do this shit with fully functional legs.

Medali: The stage at the treasure eatery is a whore but everything else is fine.

Montenevera: Once again, access to the stage and the gym itself are whores. He’s gonna pet all the ghost dogs though.

Alfornada: You just gotta make faces for this one, right? Surely any other exercises Dendra and Tulip give you should be able to be adapted for the disabled anyway.

Glaseado: Uhhh the snow slope run is done on the back of a Pokemon as far as I remember so it should be fine.

okay, im currently in *originshipping land* and i just read pokemon adventures 15-22. I SAW WALLACE PLAYING THE FLUTE (or recorder,im kinda stupid) and i thoughtof this (and now headcanon it, of course ) but wallace probably plays it when stevens sad to cheer him up. :> (edit, its near the end of the volume where Ruby meets Wallace and Ruby is about to be taken to gym leader meeting, Wallace can be seen playing it asRuby barges in showing Wallace his beauty contest ribbon. id tell you the volumes number but i cannot remember.)
