For the first time in weeks, its quiet here this morning. I woke up a bear this morning, pounding headache, high anxiety, and tired af after a bad night's sleep. I've taken a few moments to myself to meditate, and reflect on the unusual quiet, the calm stillness of the lake. Let it fill me up, and wash away as much of the negative feelings in me as I'm able, before I start my day. It's helped. Here's to better starts for everyone. #stillness #quietplace #meditation https://www.instagram.com/p/B1GxXAGhXOw/?igshid=v1pynbn7xz53
Stillness has a way of pulling everything to the surface. The dreams you have tucked away, the fears you don’t speak out loud, the memories that still echo, and the questions that still don’t have answers. It’s when your guard is down and the world is quiet that your soul speaks the loudest. Even in the weight of it all the wisdom is still unfolding, the thoughts and feelings are not here to torment you, there here to show you the truth of your heart, what needs your love, your attention, your healing. Allow the quiet to soften what the distractions may sharpen. Allow your soul to feel heard so that you can understand the map of your heart and move in the direction of what’s purposeful and true.
Occasionally, we encounter a silence that words cannot penetrate, a landscape of feelings that is too vast to articulate. There are times when we articulate thoughts with eloquence, yet they lack the warmth of genuine emotion. And then, in the rarest of moments, we find ourselves enveloped in a serene void, where neither feelings nor words exist, and all that remains is a tranquil emptiness.
“The wave is the same as the ocean, though it is not the whole ocean. So each wave of creation is a part of the eternal Ocean of Spirit. The Ocean can exist without the waves, but the waves cannot exist without the Ocean.”
Yogananda
(from "the flaming stillness")
time flows like water
mother died one day
nights go deeper and deeper
when night comes, every past
and future death comes
along with darkness
and silence
no longer human 'cause
couldn't save the cat while
drifting under the scorching sun
though a boat trapped in hell of stillness
isn't allowed to have a heart,
being soaked in the sea of oblivion
caused committing an indelible sin
tears of the unqualified
are just like
sounds
everything
is just
like cavity
and regret
(from "Inside of the Lush Forest") you were just lying in there as a body you were just lying in there with silent breaths you were just lying in there with silent breaths, trembling with fear from a sign of someone you were just lying in there with silent breaths, being disgusted with the world and melting into the earth you were just lying in there with silent breaths, taking a peaceful nap you just arbitrarily lied down in there and rolled around, crushing all kinds of wild flowers you just arbitrarily lied down in there and were bitten by bees, a grasshopper and a mantis and cried like a kid you just arbitrarily lied down in there and were bitten by a snake and dying in vain you just arbitrarily lied down in there and were sleeping peacefully until the middle of the night.
Forests are like churches, hallowed places. There's a stillness about them, a sort of reverence.
